Disk Falcon is an experimental futuristic Mac OS X disk usage scanner, and shows what our UI engine can do in a desktop application. Disk Falcon itself allows the user to analyze how the hard drive space is used, including by largest files and folders, file types and file ages. It also allows the user to delete unneeded files right from within the application.

The main challenge while developing Disk Falcon lay in quickly scanning potentially huge hard drives with hundreds of thousands of files, all the while retrieving not just the file name, but other information about each one such as size, age, type of the file, and more. We solved this through a number of clever optimizations, making Disk Falcon one of the fastest scanning utilities for the Mac.
